The Club has a thoroughly integrated mixed membership with comprehensive indoor and outdoor playing programs to accommodate players of all abilities and welcomes new members and newcomers to the game with a strong coaching team to assist beginners and improvers. Shoes and bowls are available for newcomers to the game to use on taster sessions.
The outdoor green is open daily throughout the summer from mid April to mid September and the indoor rinks are open daily throughout the year except for Christmas Day, Boxing day and New Year’s Day.

The outdoor bowling programme includes Club Day’s and competitions, ladies, men’s and mixed friendly matches against other Clubs and Touring teams, and ladies and men’s league matches in County leagues and local leagues, normally totalling over 100 matches each season.
The indoor rinks are open during the summer months and are supported by about 50 members playing in social groups and leagues. The main activity indoor is from mid September to March with over 200 members enjoying playing in a variety of domestic Club leagues and competitions plus friendly matches against other Clubs. The Club also enter ladies and men’s National team competitions and the men’s Somerset County league.
