IOWBC Management Committee have decided that all remaining indoor domestic league matches and friendly matches vs other Clubs will be cancelled from next Monday 16th March.

Team co-ordinators are requested to ensure their team members are informed since some are not on email.  Selectors / Match Secretary are requested to inform other Clubs regarding match cancellations.

The Club will remain open from about 8.30am as normal but will be locked up around 6pm. until further notice.

For the present, indoor members are still welcome to use the indoor rinks for casual groups and roll ups – your choice and decision.  

We request that any members who have recently been abroad or in contact with a person who has contracted the virus, stay away from the Club for at least 2 weeks.

Management Committee Meetings and Section Meetings are cancelled until further notice with any communication by email / tel as necessary.

The Indoor Section AGM & Presentation Evening on Friday 3rd April is cancelled, but don’t worry any league winners will still get their much sought after pens and Competition winners their trophies and glasses.

The Coffee Craft morning on Saturday 4th April is cancelled

The Italian Night on Wednesday 8th April is cancelled, event organiser to ensure all applicants not on email are informed.  

As the Coronavirus situation continues to evolve, we will keep you informed of any further Club changes including a probable delay to the commencement of the outdoor season program which is currently scheduled for 18th April and probable deferment of the Club AGM on 24th April.

  1. Thank you for the latest info. on matches. I think this was a good decision in view of what is happening. I was getting a lot of earache from my daughter who is in the medical profession. She kept emphasising that because I had just finished radiotherapy recently, I was especially vulnerable. The statement saves members worrying about the situation of matches. May I send by best wishes to all members and especially the committee who work so hard. I am sure we will survive if we are careful. Sincerely, John Endall

    Many thanks for your comments which we all share. We hope to be able to maintain contact through remote means and to support Members who need help. For those who have access to Facebook we do have a members group which anyone can join so that is one means of communication and social chit chat .

    Look forward to a time when we can all resume “normal” lives in good health.
